DF32, Watson-Marlow Flexicon's positive displacement pump, is developed to handle liquid and creamy products with higher viscosity than can be handled by the peristaltic principle.
The pump is of the pallet type where a rotor is positioned eccentrically in the pump house, and the pallets are mechanically guided to follow the pump housing. By turning the rotor, the room formed between the pallets is expanding on the suction side and decreased on the production side. This way both suction and compression is done by a rotating action.
DF32 is running with a low revolution per minute, which is very gentle to the product. No homogenizing of the product takes place during the filling process.
